Collaborative

Whether a technically outstanding violinist is also a good musician becomes particularly apparent when playing together with other artists. At the JJV, the participants are not only accompanied by world-renowned pianists, but also have the opportunity to play with three top international ensembles from the semifinals onwards.

Kuss Quartett

Pianists

With Miki Aoki, Thomas Hoppe, Boris Kusnezow and Paul Rivinius, four internationally renowned pianists will accompany the violinists of the 2021 competition.

Kuss Quartett

In the semi-final round, the participants will perform together with Jana Kuss, William Coleman and Mikayel Hakhnazaryan from the Kuss-Quartet.

Camerata Bern

A special challenge for the participants is to also lead the chamber orchestra, the Camerata Bern. Once from the solo position and once as concertmaster.

NDR Radiophilharmonie Orchestra

The NDR Radiophilharmonie is one of our most important partners. The participants who have already successfully completed four disciplines are allowed to perform together with the orchestra as a highlight.
