Jaeook Lee

Jaeook Lee’s career began in his home country of South Korea, winning national competitions and landing a spot on the roster of the Kumho Cultural Foundation of Young Artists. His career continued internationally through his studies with Glenn Dicterow, Kyung-Wha Chung, and Sylvia Rosenberg at the Juilliard School.
He made his American debut in Lincoln Center performing the Vieuxtemps Concerto No. 4 in Alice Tully Hall, and following this secured additional engagments in Merkin and Weill halls in New York, and Munetsugu Hall in Japan.
Lee was the winner of the special prize at the Concours International Yehudi Menuhin, and most recently won the third prize at the Munetsugu Angel Competition.
Lee has participated in Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute and the prestigious Verbier Academy in Switzerland. Lee received his bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School and master’s degree from the New England Conservatory with Miriam Fried and Donald Weilerstein. He currently studies with Mark Steinberg.
