Namhyun Kim

Namhyun Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1994. She started playing violin at age 6 and learned from Prof. Namyun Kim and Mr. Sangwoo Park at the Pre-College of KNUA (Korea NationalUniversity of Arts). She entered KNUA as an Art Prodigy in 2011 at the 1’st grade of Seoul Arts High School. Namhyun Kim was active as a concertmaster of the KNUA Orchestra and graduated in 2015. She began her Master’s degree with Professor Adam Kostecki in 2016 at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and graduated 2019 with the highest score. She is currently studying with Professor Sophia Jaffe at the HFMDK Frankfurt (Main) since 2019.
Namhyun Kim won several awards at the Hankookilbo Competition, Strad Violin Competition, Asian Youth Music Competition, R. Lipizer Internatinal Violin Copetition 2019 in Italy and the Piastro Peter-Pirazzi Competition 2020 in Germany. She participated in many national and international concerts.
