The Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover - HMTMH) is one of Germany’s most renowned institutions for artistic training and academic study. About 360 instructors, amongst them numerous internationally renowned artists, pedagogues and researchers, are entrusted with the training and education of nearly 1500 students from all over the world.

Diversity and quality are the trademarks of the NDR Radiophilharmonie orchestra from Hanover. 86 highly skilled musicians represent an impressive variety in their programme: in addition to the great classical and romantic repertory, they also cultivate early music. Crossover projects, movie soundtracks and a wide range of different concerts for children and youth reach a large audience.

Fritz Behrens Stiftung

Fritz Behrens Stiftung

Fritz Behrens was born in 1836 as a farmer’s son near Peine, Germany. He received training in business economics and soon made a name for himself in the Rhine Valley soft coal district, where he became one of the industry’s most successful personalities. From 1881 until his death in 1920 Fritz Behrens and his wife lived in Hannover.
