At the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition, the focus is on the participants. Participation in the competition alone can be a stepping stone for the young musicians. It is important to the competition to offer virtuosos an excellent stage and to build steps on the way to a career. On October 8, 2021, selected participants will swarm out of the state capital to venues across the state. In their luggage they have wonderful music and excellent accompaniment on the piano - ingredients for an unforgettable evening. And so, in the midst of the ongoing competition, all of Lower Saxony also gets to enjoy concerts by the international violin elite, who come together from all parts of the world. This is a benefit for the visitors as well as for the musicians, who gain stage experience, make contacts and get to know Lower Saxony. Which of the violinists who played for the competition prizes shortly before will come, will be decided right after the finalists are announced. One thing is certain - on this evening, in many places, in castles, churches and concert halls in Lower Saxony, there will be the opportunity to experience brilliant musical performances by internationally celebrated artists on their way to a world career.
