The Competition Across the State
The Joseph Joachim Violin Competition is centered around its participants. The fact that they were able to compete at all can give young musicians a career jump. The competition prides itself on providing a stage for up-and-coming virtuosos, providing them with stepping stones into their career. On October 24, 2018, selected competitors will leave the state capital and visit locations throughout the state. With fantastic music and excellent piano accompanists in tow, their performance is sure to make for an unforgettable evening.
With the competition in full swing, Lower Saxony will be able to enjoy the international violin elite in concerts across the entire state. While delighting audiences, the young musicians will gain additional performance experience, create new contacts, and get to know Lower Saxony.
Which of the violinists, who were until before performing for one of the competition prizes, will be selected to play these concerts will only be determined after the competition finalists have been announced. In any case, Lower Saxony will experience some of the world’s finest young musicians in concert halls, castles, churches, and other venues across the state.
