The Ruller Haus is a socio-cultural center in the pilgrimage town of Rulle, which belongs to the municipality of Wallenhorst in the Osnabrück catchment area. As the owner of a historic building with around 700 years of history, the association organizes a year-round cultural programme with around 60 events (exhibitions, classical and folk concerts, readings, youth cultural programmes, film and theater performances) with around 20 volunteers and three freelancers. The association has around 150 members and reaches an audience beyond the local borders.
The concert series of the house has several focal points: Chamber music, which fits in very well here due to the intimacy of the hall (about 85 seats), the excellent acoustics and not least because of an excellent Steinway grand piano, a podium for young talented musicians* in the "Auftakte" series and performance opportunities for local formations. Even though Rulle is a very small town, two ARD prizewinners have already performed here and a precious Stradivarius has even been heard here.
